Intuitive Development Exercise – 1

April 23, 2013 by Caithe

Your intuition is always ‘on’. The difficulty is determining HOW you receive your messages from the Universe.  This exercise is to help you learn, develop and trust your first instincts.

As you look at the picture below, ask yourself these questions:

Am I attracted to the energy of this person? Or am I repelled?  What is causing that feeling?

Ask these questions to see if answers, feelings, impressions come to forefront of your awareness:

* What is her name?

* Where was she born?

* What did she do in her life?

* How did she die?

* Where did she live during her life?

You are welcome to comment with your answers, email or visit my Facebook page to leave your impressions there.

In a few days time, I will post the answers!

Trust yourself!!!

Mabon

March 19, 2013 by Caithe

Equinox - Mabon Blessing v2

As the first chill is felt in the air, those in tune with the Cycles of Gaia know the Wheel is about to turn once again.  Mabon (pronounced May or Mah – bon) is celebrated somewhere between March 20th – 22nd.  This is the time of the Autumn Equinox where day and night, light and dark are in perfect balance.

It is a great time to start new projects to last you through the colder months and also a time for meditation on new directions in career/education/work.

In the Pagan tradition, the second harvest was a celebration known as “Harvest Home”, “Wine Harvest” or “Cornucopia”. Remembering the Autumn Equinox in the Northern part of the World is in September it became known as Michaelmas in Christian Calendars and Thanksgiving in America!

Mabon is named after the Welsh God Mabon ap Modron – stolen three days after his birth and imprisoned.  He was rescued by King Arthur and became one of his companions.  His story symbolises hope, faith and loyalty.

Deities of Mabon: Goddesses- Demeter, Persphone,Modron, Aphrodite, Hecate, Yemaya, Morgan, Epona, Persephone, Pomona, Kali and the Muses. Gods- Helios, Mabon, Thoth, Thor, Bacchus, Dionysus, Hermes, and The Green Man

Here in Australia, The season of Mabon brings cool mornings and warm, still days.  By some Aboriginal groups or mobs, it is called The Eel Season as they are fat and ready to harvest as they head out to sea for breeding.  The birds begin their migration patterns, the possums begin to breed. The skinks and tortoises begin their hibernation.

To add to the confusion, many celebrate the Christian Tradition of Easter at this time.  If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, you can still incorporate both the mass consciousness and also your own feelings towards the turning of the seasons.

The Manna or White or Ribbon Gum begins its flowering season.  You know these Eucalypts with their blazing white bark. At the base of their trunk, the bark seems to fall away in ribbons – hanging like the petals of a flower and the branches shooting straight into the air like a 40 metre tall stamen.

If the weather conditions are right, rainfall is a high possibility.  Autumn is known as the season of Fall – where the leaves fall from the trees. Here in Sout-East Queensland, very few trees lose their leaves.  In my own garden, the Banksia Bushes are flowering, as are the Easter May (a non-native tree).  The mulberry and gooseberry bushes are fruiting and will be ready to harvest in the coming weeks.  The pumpkins are going crazy spreading their vines over the yard.

You may wish to choose to go with the Nothern Hemisphere traditions of decorating with Fall Symbols – leaves, pumpkins, apples and acorns or choose eucalyptyus, camomile and fruits of the harvest locally.

Candles may either be those of autumn, gold and browns or you may wish to choose the colours of Eucalypt – silver, blue, pale green and pink.

Feast with wine, bread and meals based on potatoes

Oils to burn include: cinnamon, ginger and orange.

Incense of Mabon: Autumn Blend-benzoin, myrrh, and sage.

Traditional stones are Sapphire, lapis lazuli, and yellow agates although in Australia, with the focus on Aphrodite, you may wish to chose pearls, lapis lazuli or aquarmarine.

Spellworkings of Mabon: Protection, prosperity, security, and self-confidence, harmony and balance.

Activities to celebrate Mabon:

* Initiate a food drive or assist a charity with theirs

* Participate in Clean Up Australia Day on March 7th

* Pick apples in an orchard

* Complete a Gratitude List for your Reflective Journal

* Write poetry

* Turn off the TV and tell stories!

* Complete an Autumn Clean in preparation for Winter

* Make apple candleholders and apple garlands

* Weave a God’s Eye (remember weaving wool around paddle pop sticks???)

* Make a scarecrow for your garden

* Make pickles, jams and preserves.

For myself, this is a season for getting out into the garden. The sun is not as hot and there is still some daylight in the early evening to weed, prune and sing to my plants.  It is a time to prepare some of the vegetable beds for their fallow time and prepare to plant the Winter Seeds.  This year, it is also a time of nurturing the land of our home – the soil and plants are so water-logged we need to help support, stake and even remove some of the plants from our garden.

This year, on the Equinox, there is a gathering of lightworkers at the Studio for a Reiju Blessing and Healing Ceremony.  If you wish to have your name or the names of family and friends put forward, please send me an email or make contact through my website – www.celtcai.com.au

5 Ways for a Spiritual Detox

5 Ways for a Spiritual Detox
5 Ways for a Spiritual Detox

It’s rather fitting for the season of February to focus on letting go.  Out with the old and in with the new.  It’s a little mantra you may know like the back of your hand – but do you use it regularly?  Do you remember to walk the walk as well as talk the talk?  Outing the old from your life is a form of detoxification.  It means to release, let go and remove toxic items from your body.  So let’s explore 5 ways for a Spiritual Detox.

Recently, I posted this on Facebook:

Spirit in Action Report: My body and I are in a state of disagreement. This is never good. I’d resumed some habits which didn’t soothe my physical body. We decided on a detox – I focused on joy and ease during the alignment transition. My body had other ideas – let’s detox fast and furious. Gah! I hit the ‘wall’ yesterday – my body demanding to step back, rest and release. Trying to ease the symptoms, I meditated. I asked for my Guides to be the Clean Up Crew – ever seen AA Michael with his vacuum or Goddess Demeter in an apron? I did. Then I asked for all ‘spiritual dust bunnies’ to leave – what a furry flurry that was. Feeling much better this morning – just watch out for those Dust Bunnies! ♥ Namaste

Releasing toxins may contribute to your body expressing flu-like symptoms.  These symptoms are also similar to those you experience during the Ascension Alignment. Interesting, huh?

Fasting, meditation with crystals, laughter, minimizing significance and dry-bathing are suggestions for easing and encouraging regular detoxification. They are suggestions only as this list is not exclusive by any means.  You may prefer other methods. Just remember – go slowly to encourage EASE.

Read on for more on 5 Ways for a Spiritual Detox

Fasting

Fasting normally means to remove processed foods, caffeinated beverages and alcohol from your diet.  For spiritual detoxification, your diet means all you consume – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  Whether it is food, beverages, medication, daily time cycles, your use of media, sound or emotions, your body is constantly bombarded with toxins through your food, skin, eyes, ears, from within your own mind and from the energetic vibrations around you.

Look to your diet, exercise program, sleep patterns, environment and hobbies. What can you change?

Do you eat too much junk food? Use a computer for long periods? Sit still rather than move your body? Are you getting enough sleep? What do you listen to or watch via technology?

The body too has its rights; and it will have them:  they cannot be trampled on without peril.  The body ought to be the soul’s best friend.  Many good men however have neglected to make it such:  so it has become a fiend and has plagued them.  ~Augustus William Hare and Julius Charles Hare, Guesses at Truth, by Two Brothers, 1827

Your body’s balance is like a set of bagpipes – easily set out of tune!  Look honestly at your lifestyle and release those habits putting you off-key – even just for short periods!  A sound body is a great vessel for a spiritually aligned being.

*Always consult a medical professional before beginning a fast or consider changes to your exercise or medication regimes.

Meditation with crystals

Cord-cutting meditations are an effective way to spiritually detox.  These have been referred to many times throughout the Celticai Studio blog posts.  Today, you will be introduced to a few different crystals known to assist with releasing and detoxification.

Citrine releases old patterns of negativity and helps to bring joy back into your life.

Malachite opens, expands and integrates healing energy through the heart chakra and then to the rest of the body.

Amazonite aligns you with your divine purpose and energises your will to follow its path.

Bloodstone connects your essence to the physical body encouraging the ‘healer’ within to be proactive.

Chryosprase transforms past life issues by releasing the memory in a positive fashion and resolves internal conflicts.

This list represents only a portion of the crystals available for detoxification.

Meditation is the antidote to all the poisons of your life. It is the nourishment of your authentic nature. ~Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

During meditation, you may like to hold the crystal/s in your hand, sit on it, rest it in your lap, or rest them on your chakras – whatever feels right to you.  Some like to place crystals within their mouth during meditation.  Please use your common sense.  I would be concerned about possibly swallowing or choking on the crystal during such a relaxed state.

Laughter

Laughter is the best medicine after all.  A smile a day keeps the doctor away!  The emotional and physical release raises your energetic vibration.  This encourages ‘light-ness’ of being.

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion.  I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward. ~Kurt Vonnegut

Find your smile every day. Listen to comedy shows, read a joke book, start hula-hooping – whatever it takes to bring a smile to your face.  I personally recommend Reflect Radio for helping turn frowns upside down.

Laughing encourages your body to breathe deeply by using the muscles of your diaphragm.  Your body loves to breathe down deep into its abdomen – so laugh, giggle and grin to your heart’s content!

Minimise Significance

Western culture encourages attaching blame or significance to events within your life.  Yes, you lived it – but it is in the past.  The PRESENT is the most important moment. Why? Now is the time when you can do something to change your life.

Have you noticed how you define yourself? I ‘have this’ or I am a (insert blank).  This attaches significance to parts of your life – it encourages attachment to the memory, emotions and the event itself.  By minimizing significance, you are not forgetting all your life events.  Instead, you are stating you are a being of NOW.

Clearing our energetic ties to the past can be as simple as saying: What would it take to clear, cleanse and delete all constructions and destructions of significant events from my energetic imprint? What would it take for me to live in the now with ease, joy and fun?  Now clear it!  Use the Access Consciousness clearing statement or you can use “Clear, cancel, delete”… whatever feels cleansing to you.

Dry Bathing

This is a very simple process you can make part of your daily rituals.  There is a traditional Reiki process called Kenyoku hô (meaning dry bath method).  A simplified version is to centre/ground, breathe in and then, as you breathe out, brush your hands over your body.  You may feel led to focus on the chakras or on your torso, arms, legs and top of the head.  The intent is to purify body, mind and spirit.

Smudging your body with incense is also a form of elemental dry bathing.  Light an incense stick and allow the smoke to drift over and around your body.

When these small rituals are done with intent on a regular basis, the meaning deepens and encourages connection with Source Energy.

Start small with any of these 5 ways to Spiritually Detox.  Go slowly and detox regularly – your body will love you for your attention to its needs!
