The Pisces New Moon on Monday, 27th January 2017 has its zenith at 00.58am (Queensland Time, Australia). It is a Solar Eclipse too! Those who have Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces in their natal charts, will feel this New Moon significantly. a solar eclipse, an intensified form of a New Moon.
This is an annular (meaning ‘ring’) eclipse, similar to a total solar eclipse but as the Moon is further away from the Earth, it doesn’t completely block out the Sun, and so a band of sunlight can be seen around the dark disc of the Moon. The eclipse will be visible along a narrow path stretching from the southern tip of South America to Angola in Africa, weather permitting. In the surrounding areas, people will see a partial solar eclipse.
