The New Moon in Aquarius on Saturday 28^th January 2017 has its zenith at 10.07 (Queensland Time, Australia).  Those who have Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius as their sun signs or ascendants will feel this new moon particularly.

━═★ What does that mean for you? ★═━

Aquarius energy brings urges for the truth which can lead to you feeling incredibly curious, questioning and seeking – of everyone and everything.  I keep seeing images of the Rubik’s Cube!

How this looks to you will be highly individualistic – because for some, this energy will encourage you to look deep within for the changes that are required for a new start.  For others, this will affect your friendships and partnerships – seeing them ebb and flow like the water Aquarius pours forth.

Even though you may be tempted to spread blame and responsibility for all the ills, woes, confusions and questions that you see around you.  Aquarius energy asks you to pull up your adult panties and realise that if you don’t like where you are, it’s time for YOU to do something about it.

But.. and here’s the big BUT that fills those panties right now… don’t do anything rash.  Yes, your integrity and authenticity are important… oh yes they are.. but decisions made now may be made on a bunch of feelings or confusion that requires balance first.  Try to give yourself some breathing space before making big decisions.

Take an opportunity to invite your Council of Wisdom into your meditation.  For this, prepare by thinking of the smartest, wisest, best choices for a Council for you to call to help you with a problem.. these people can be real, alive, dead, mythological, fictional, young, old.. for example for problems with money you may call on the energies of Richard Branson, your High School math teacher and King Midas!

Light a white candle and make yourself comfortable.

Imagine a room where you would love to hold a meeting – prepare the room and set the Agenda e.g. Creating Wealth and Abundance.

Now imagine/meditate on the arrival of your chosen Guest Experts and any other Guides/Guardians who wish to contribute to your life and living.

Talk about your ‘problem/confusion’ and then sit back and allow your Guest Experts and meeting members to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas.  (have pen and paper handy).

At the ‘close of the Meditation Meeting’, thank each for their contribution and ask them leave.  Close the door firmly to the room and then ground yourself.

━═★ Full Moon Blessings ★═━

The Full Moon in Cancer on 12th January 2017 (9:33 pm, Brisbane Time) deals with the balance between your private life and your public life.   It will particularly affect those who have Cancer, Aries, Libra or Capricorn in their natal chart.  Those who are water signs will also feel this keenly.

Full Moons are energetically connected to the previous New Moon’s goals, dreams and plans.  What did you put into motion two weeks ago?  This full moon brings an opportunity to harvest what was sown.

━═★ What does that mean for you? ★═━

For those who may remember the TV show “Happy Days”, the energy of this Full Moon is like Potsie by telling you to “Sit On It”.  So, just what are you sitting on?  How balanced is your work/life balance.  It’s even asking you to go further – what is your virtual/physical social life balance?  What ARE you depending on for validation, confirmation and support?

Take notice of those problems/challenges which you are ‘sitting on’- now is a great time to balance your control.  As the Serenity Prayer says, knowing the difference between what can be changed and what cannot be changed, is the province of wisdom.  Allow yourself to be wise and SEE what can be changed for your benefit and for the benefit of all concerned.

You may feel the urge to cleanse, clear and rearrange your desk, your house and your life as this full moon culminates.  It will also bring up characteristics of mothering – now if your Mum was, and is, a stellar influence in your life, then you can breathe a sigh of relief.  Hopefully, you will reflect the nurturing side of the Great Mother’s personality.  However, there is also the other side of the coin – that smothering side of the Great Mother – which desires control, control and MORE control.  Please be watchful of how this energy is coming up in your own life.

As Cancer is a water sign ruled by the Moon, be particularly observant of your own water intake over these three days.  Your emotions will be at bursting point as they swell to meet the tidal effect of this lunar event.  The key is to express and to communicate – whether it be to your closest friend, partner or journal.

You may also be feeling the weight of your roles and responsibilities at this time – adulting is just SO hard, right?  Get the ‘jobs’ done and then give yourself permission to have a rest and relax.  This is a superb opportunity for that bubble bath or for a visit to the beach, lake or creek.. heck, even a shower will do!

Most of all, take a moment to go outside and to not only look at the Moon, but to see it.  As the closest astral influence in the sky, it affects your emotions and your desire to be seen and be heard.  Being the tyrant and bulldozing your way, will only erode your defences and leave you feeling washed out.  Going with the flow while maintain your integrity is a much better choice (and makes adulting just that little bit easier).

Ps.  Whatever you are sitting on – those words/feelings just aching to be expressed – will find a way to be expressed SOMEHOW.  So please remember.. sitting can become another word with the simple addition of a ‘h’.. you know which word I mean- and that can become really, really messy.

━═★ Appropriate Cleansing Ceremony/Ritual ★═━

Cleansing your home is a great way of balancing and clearing the energies within your home.  This ceremony is beneficial at ANY full moon but in particular it works well with the domestic energy of the Cancer Full Moon – it’s like Feng Shui without having to move stuff around.

What you need: An appropriate smudging incense bundle/stick – you may choose white sage, sai flora, sandalwood, sweet grass, frankincense or eucalyptus leaves.

What you do:

• Try to declutter/tidy up your home
• Open windows/doors (where safe to do so) to allow the moonlight and air inside.
• Starting in the kitchen (the heart/centre of your home), light your incense bundle/stick. Waft the smoke into the corners of the room, around windowsills and doors. (Please watch for sparks and embers from your incense!)
• As you smudge, you may wish to say a little prayer to set your intention

Balance everything in each direction

Releasing the old, I welcome the new

Bring light and laughter all month through.

• Complete the smudging and prayer in each room of your home (don’t forget the garage and hallways).
• When you are finished, place the bundle/stick into a bowl of sand to extinguish it safely.

Gemini energy can be topsy turvey and of ‘two minds’.  The energies at this time are working at a soul level – reminding you of issues that you have pushed to the background.  You may find yourself contemplating (okay, more like being smacked in the face with a frying pan type of contemplation) with sudden and interesting changes – all to do with communication or a lack thereof!  First and foremost, your two sides – the obvious and the hidden – will be trying to communicate with you.  As you are not only approaching the craziness of Christmas, you are also facing the Winter Solstice on December 21^st and Mercury going retrograde on December 19^th (till January 8^th).  This equals intense communication between all parts of you – with each other, with those around you and with the energies of CHANGE.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on Tuesday 29^th November 2016 has its zenith at 10.18pm (Brisbane Time, Australia).  For our friends overseas, the New Moon occurs on 30^th November.  Those who have Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces as their sun signs or ascendants will feel this new moon particularly.

━═★ What does that mean for you? ★═━

You may notice over the next four weeks and especially across the next 72 hours, some interesting behaviours arising. Sagittarius energy brings information, opportunities and possibilities – however with the interesting energy happening at the moment, ensure you look before you leap.  There will be a lot of ‘dribble’ going on – verbally, intellectually and physically.  Not every ‘golden opportunity’ is actually gold.  Please ensure that your BS meters are tuned and turned on!

Honesty, integrity and enthusiasm are the key words for this new moon.  Be a little adventurous now (without risking your neck) and in four weeks’ time, you will see harvest from your actions this week.
